Well young one in Final Fantasy XI there is an open freely explorable world with a new area to party in every 15 levels or so. Its amazing to discover new shores, learn skill as you slowly begin to master this game...

Oh wait whoops I mean if you want to lvl then
Step 1: Solo to 10 then go to a cave in gusgen mines fall asleep wake up at 50
Step 2: (warning this is the hardest part of the game) shout in jeuno for limit break quest till someone helps you.

Step 3: Go to a another cave (this one is epic) in crawlers nest fall asleep again but make sure your on follow wake up then repeat step 2.

Once your finished and your 99 you've mastered the game.

Skill?
You don't need that anymore you'll be right you get full merits for participation in this game we want everyone to feel special.

Challenges?
There are some but don't worry they'll be nerfed soon.

What do I do now?
Once you get the best gear in the game its time for the ultimate afk experience standing around in Jueno waiting for ppl to examine you.

What part about what you just said invalidates my point? I said when you get the BEST GEAR IN THE GAME which is easy to get if you willing to spend the time to do it also I said that challenges ARE in the game but because everyone cries about them so much they will be nerfed.

I might just seem like an angry troll but I'm just extremely passionate about this game I have loved final fantasy my entire life and after the failure that is FFXIII, FFXIV being a disaster and now this game getting ripped apart a rage has built in me that I just need to express.

Square has always been a fantastic company at the forefront of game production with every nano fiber of the products they produce being a masterpiece. Music story characters cutscenes coding polish interface battle systems all amazing and way ahead of their time. I mean look at this game it is 10 years old tied to PS2 and it still looks dam pretty.

I'm not trying to put anyone down if people like the game the way it is than fair enough but it just seems that a lot of people out there are unhappy and if more are happy than aren't then I guess the age of hardcore gaming is gone and i'll hold a funeral and move on with my life.

You're not alone in your opinion but at this point what's done is done.. I figure SE keeps mashing the easy button on XI so people will "finish" it sooner and move on to 14 <Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass>.

"easy".... I find it hard to believe you even have access to these fights let alone find then easy.

If you take the time to read these forums, or even talk to people in game, or even just take the posts in this thread, the vast amount of people like where the game is now and like where it is headed. Perfect? No, but I damn well am having a tremendously fun time.

And I dont know about you, but fighting a giant Crystal Dragon insude the Mothercrystal with 17 other adventurers while it throws death around like hot cakes is pretty damn hardcore to me.
