No, I would not like to set my homepoint after a mog house job change.

    Hello!

I understand why the prompt was put in to change jobs when leaving a mog house. "For your safety" indeed. Back in 2003, a job change meant a player may be about to fearlessly charge into the maw of the Omega-hare and it made sense that they wouldn't want to respawn in say, Yhutunga Jungle as a level 3 White mage, endlessly aggroing a Marlboro.

Now, it just adds 10 seconds to the time it takes to get out of a mog house in Jeuno. When in a hurry, it just further add's to that time it takes to get to the fight.

Yes, there are other things I would love to see changed in the game. This is probably one of the few however that manages to annoy me on a day to day basis, since there isn't a way to turn it off.

I'd love to see an option to remove that message added. While it's only 5-10 seconds at a time, the "Homepoint, bro?" message is there to pester everybody, everyday forever.

At the very least, I'd like to hear "Yeah, trying to add that would require sacrificing a virginal intern to the Flying Spaghetti Code Monster. We'd think about it, but 変態 引き籠もり is going to become a wizard if he lasts just one more year."

    From community rep:

Thanks for your feedback! The dev. team let us know that although this is a helpful feature for newer players, they do agree that this menu isn’t used that often after getting used to playing the game. In the future they will be looking into the option of having this set via the NPC. Just know that the items on the roadmap will take priority before this will be implemented, so I cannot give you a date as of yet. But hey! Good news is good news so I thought I should pass this along. ^_^

I typically am on the fence (generally on the argumentative side of it) for things like this, but even I'll admit this is annoying as hell. Would it be too much of a hassle to say, make 'Set Homepoint' a moghouse command just so the option is there but not forced on me? I'm fully aware of the dangers of venturing outside the gates, but I highly doubt anyone over 50 is going to die in West Ronfaure.

I do not apologize for my sarcasm, I just ask that you have a damn sense of humor. I'm the comic relief, dammit!

On the flip side, can't it just be a part of having "New Adventurer Status"?

Sure, nobody really uses the question mark for very long, but by the time you have someone showing you the ropes and have it removed, you pretty much have the basic knowledge of Home Points and such.

I was half expecting them to say "sorry we can not make this adjustment as we feel it would interfere with game balance."

It should have an on/off toggle, not be just removed. It's there to protect newer players.

True. Nothing is more fun than setting your HP in Cape Terrigan doing skill ups, forgetting it, and remembering only after your freshly unlocked job is murdered by a bunny and you HP, only to find you're now a level 2 SMN standing outside a shack crawling with things that could kill you if they farted. :/ Ah the glory days.
