New Payment Method

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere yet but it looks as though you can pay directly with your credit card as of this A.M. Not sure if it's recurring or not.

Too late for me, allowing my accounts to lapse this month by not adding Crysta. Guess I can get rid of my signature though ^^;

According to the account page, you can either get it to auto-debit from your card or use your card to pay for Crysta.

What I would like to know - is it possible to burn off the remaining Crysta, then have the system charge the debit / credit card on file to bring up the balance? Sealdorie is right. It would be incredibly annoying if people had leftover Crysta stuck on their account.

The only workaround I could see would be to buy enough Crysta to pay for one month, then just revert to automatic billing from there on in.

We got it back because of the huge uproar, I'm guessing direct payment costs them more instead of doing it through a 3rd party company.

Anyway took a while but I'm glad they added it back.

All billing options bill automatically every month, even crysta as long as you have enough in your account.

Also, you can use every penny of crysta on your account easily now, because you can enter an exact amount of crysta to buy when you purchase it.

I figured they did it to help absolve themselves of liability if they got hacked, since C&B would be the ones handling our financial info. That's my totally uneducated guess though. Them doing it for cost savings I don't doubt at all. I wonder if the problem they used to have with "double charging" and charge backs had something to do with it as well.

I'm definitely glad they brought back the direct payment method, and give them huge kudos (kupos?) for doing so. It's certainly more user friendly than going through a 3rd party, and paying should never be a hassle or a cause for concern. Thanks for making the change, SE! Even if they don't say so, I think many are grateful for this.
