Weapon skills not working on Glavoid

Doing glavoids last night with linkshell, my blade:hi would not go off unless i was almost directly int he center of the mob . This was causing me to lag as well as almost d/c and also 90% chance that i would Weapon skill when he would do a TP move whichn would leed to him being cured.. any suggestion on how to fix this ?

1.Claim/Pop Glavoid
2.Bring North towards wall
3.Try to weapon skill , but could not as if it were out of range (only could execute the weapon skill if in middle of mob)
