Don't make the game easier than what they've already made easier for us all... They already let players go from 30 to 90 now because of abyssea and give us atmas and abyssites to make us even more powerful.. leave it as is.. the only thing that needs changing is the ??? POP time on certain NM inside Abyssea.
ive said this many times, just griping mostly, that i want/need a 4th lunar. but honestly, its not needed. were already way too powerful inside abyssea as is. and this is just my thing, but i never use apoc. its a wasted slot for me, since i duobox and usually have my 2nd on whm or rdm, so RR isnt really an issue for me.
and the other stats on it, quickcast and TA(?), quickcast i actually dislike, if it was more of a conscious decision to quickcast is 1 thing, but the randomness of it annoys me. i mean, its good, but not needed to fulltime/make an abyssite. oh god, i would be pissed if it was made into an abyssite and fulltimed. and im not crapping on the idea, if you like that atma rock on, but not everyone does.
yeah, well, i dont bow to peer pressure lol. but i know thats why 90% of people use it. but if RR is the main concern, why not just make a crouer buff that gives us RR then? or something like that? wouldnt be too hard, and it would free up an atma slot for most of youslightly off topic, but that would alleviate the NEED to equip apoc and give you a RR if you wanted. win freakin win
would be nice to have a 4th questable lunar that only works OUTSIDE of abyssea.. letting you take some strength back into normal mob fights. After slaughtering IT mobs with autofight/afk .. its a bit of a joykill when an EM mob can rock my neck backwards outside of abyssea.
People have such rose-colored glasses when it comes to CoP. Remember when you had to buy over-priced gear for level capped missions? Remember when the portals in the Promy zones were only active for 30 seconds and Strays kept popping to interrupt you from entering? Remember when they completely nerfed Ranger and a good quarter of the player base just quit the game? Remember when the drop rate for the pops to get Jailer of Prudence, Justice, Hope, and Love was only 25%? Remember when Jailer of Love was completely unbeatable because it would regen 10% of its HP back every 3 seconds? Remember when Absolute Virtue wouldn't even spawn half of the time after you beat Jailer of Love? I certainly remember all of that and there is a whole lot more that I have worked very hard to repress from that time. Level cap was one of the worst ideas that S-E ever came up with, "Congratulations on all of the grinding that you put into your job, now for no apparent reason you are stuck at a noob level in a zone filled with true sight monsters meaning that they will be completely empty when no one is doing missions." Trying to Metal Gear your way though a zone is really thrilling the first few times you do it, but it gets very tiresome after a dozen or so missions. It has nothing to do with skill, it is merely an inconvenience.
As someone who has beat nearly every HNM in this game, I can tell you that AV and PW are not examples of good game design, they are examples of sadism. That 18+ hour fight it an essential part of those monsters because someone in the dev team decided that is how you are supposed to fight them; the only reason that they were changed is because of the storm of bad publicity that the game received. Did you actually fight either of them at 75 before they were nerfed? They were nightmares of XP loss and futility.
Given this history of this game, I say long live Abyssea and long live easy mode. I guarantee that anyone who picks up FFXI after playing pretty much any MMO out there will scratch their heads at the purported "ease" of this game.
Try playing Diablo 2? That game has cut out everything except Baal fight, and you are supposed to repeat that until you got all uniques you want and are level 90 to do PvP. FFXI is still filled with tons of things to do that people haven't butchered yet with their fast ways.
