Tunga Glitch

For awhile now, when tungas is pull, any kind of white mage spell instantly gives white mage max hate on tunga, and even after five provokes, Tunga was still on the white mage. Tunga will also glitch in a spot on the rock and just keep casting or use Chainspell back to back.

Tunga casts Slowga, and anyone with the Slow status from that cannot gain hate. That is likely why your provokes did nothing. Tunga also tends to chain-cast until 75% HP, in my experience.

He uses Chainspell when his HP hits/passes 74%, 49%, or 24% UNLESS he is stunned. I have killed many Tungas that never chainspell at all using Violent Flourish -> WS. I have heard BLM Stun might not work the same way with it, so you may want to exercise caution.
