A few issues

I recently decided to come back to FFXI and have found out that my old server Unicorn has been removed, I wanted to know where my old character will be once I return.

Also, it appears that my old account got hijacked, and I got it back, but now squeenix wants me to pay £23 for certain late fee's or some such, which I don't understand, my account was stolen and to get it back I have to pay the fee's the hijacker left on my old account? I don't even know if its worth it, seeing as someone jacked my account I don't even know if I will have any equipment left, how can I go about finding out? cause if I have no gil and/or equipment then there is no reason for me to bother reactivating the account (I would rather just buy the game again seeing as it would only cost £14.49) what should I do?

The Unicorn server was merged with the Fenrir server in May, 2011. All characters (active and inactive) on Unicorn would be available on Fenrir.

As for recovering the account, you would want to contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Center for further assistance; there are procedures in place to deal with matters such as compromised account access and fees related to it. As the bulk of this thread deals with account & billing related matters, and this forum is for technical support issues related to FINAL FANTASY XI itself, this thread has been closed.
