make it easier for the new monks to get black belt
make it easier for the new monks to get black belt
yeah, the only reason i don't level monk is because of blackbelt. it's too hard to get 99 kindred seals and those fights are really hard too...
those KS99 fights are basically jokes now a day. Was beating is with just 4-5 ppl even back @ 85. So @ 99, the bigger issue is farming up all the KS's.
Why? Black Belt is not required. Black Belt is not something you intrinsically deserve.
Oh wait. I just noticed the OP's username. Hordecore is now outsourcing his stupid ideas to sock puppets?
MNK was my first job, and probably my best geared and greatest love, but I never bothered with Black Belt. Back in the old days, you'd need a HNM LS, which would have to camp mobs that spawned once every 21-24 hours. I camped Adamantoise with a linkshell ONCE. We waited around for 3 hours and got outclaimed. Biggest waste of time ever. People didn't really do the KS99 fights back then, I think because they were much harder at level 75.
Nowadays you can pull off the turtle KS99 fight with what, 1 damage dealer, a healer, and a couple of black mages. The behemoth fight can be trio'd with ease. Dunno much about the wyrm one. Point is they're all pretty easy and could be pulled off with less than a full party, though you can bring an entire alliance in to the fight. Like others have said, the hardest part seems to be getting the seals. I've got, I think, 500 Kindred seals right now, plus about 1500 of the other types of seals. I guess I could get a Black Belt if I really put my mind to it, but somehow I just can't muster up the enthusiasm to do it. It's just a game after all.
People get all bent out of shape over the difficulty of obtaining certain pieces of gear, as though the idea of just going without never occurred to them.
