I'm a returning player after 1 year...boy has it changed around here.

These GoV chains of 18 people...is just sad.

I don't learn how to play my job, I don't learn how to work well with others...

Its literally a gangbang of a bat x4, beetle x2 by 18 people. I could walk away from my computer for an hour, and come back 10 levels higher.

The entire game feels deserted. Whitegate is a dead zone. (Trust me this is difficult when your main is a blue mage.)

Who needs eq at all till you hit level 99? I see people using Onion gear into their 50s. Does anyone even craft anymore? Why would they, when you only need level 99 l337 gear.

I feel like GoV has completely destroyed the levelling experience into a fast (but stupid) grind.

This hasn't changed, people burning jobs up and not knowing how to play them. Just the form of XP has. On the otehr hand, you're second statement is most true. The current system has been breeding a bad community with poor ethics.

WG being empty is in no way, shape or form deprimental to blue mage.

You're wrong, it's not GoV's fault. It was abyssea that ushered this in.

Well...I guess the biggest difference between a year ago and today for levelling is:

A year ago you could CHOOSE to burn your job up 40 levels in 5 hours. Now you have no choice. Its either burn the job or slowwwwllllllyyyy solo/duo your way to 99?

I also feel like WG being empty has huge issues for BLU. How do I collect ISP so I can warp out to the staging points that your AF armor quests often require you to do? You can't because there are no parties being formed at all. Do I want to WALK to each point to get my armor? After doing it once already for Beginnings? No thanks.

Why would you WANT to spend 1000 hours leveling a job up at 3-10k/hr (depending on your level and what you're doing with whats available)? Thats not a good thing.

Because they took it too far. Its not actually playing the game, its button mashing, and that's not fun.

lol yeah, because a guy who has played for six months, and just got his job leveled high enough to go to an event is way better at the game than the guy who burned his job in 2 days, and spent the last 6 months doing missions, quests, and end game events. OK.

If I leveled WHM 3 years ago, then spent 6 months doing all over it again on my mule, that means I'm twice as good at whm now right?

Yeah, if you've been gone for a year you might not have known that besieges gives 5k IS now.
Also, why the hell do people say ISP? There's no POINTS anywhere in it...

Because it's not imperial standing Chickens, or Imperial standing Mithra (though some might like that I'm sure).

It's an amount detailed by numbers in a tally style system, I think points fit it just fine. Also given other systems like Conquest Points one can easily see why. The question is: any not points?


Also to the OP's point: WG is dead content dead. Maybe with the coming changes to Nyzul and such more people will be there.

I just think its a shame that such a -large- game with so much to do...has so little % of the content being used atm. There are so many cool things like Besieged, Campaign, etc. That no one is doin anymore.

Not to mention that most low level areas are completely abandoned. New players must feel so utterly alone.

I feel like they need to either upgrade the treasure, or upgrade the content, or something!
