Fishing HNM's

I personally would like to see fishing become a little more fun and entertaining. I know people have seen pictures on the news or in newspaper articles with someone standing near a 200+ lb Sawfish or something of the like. Some of these fish may not exactly be catch-able by oneself. They likely had friends/fishing buddies along side, two people holding the line, one person out there with a net, another with a tranquilizer gun or something.

I would personally like to see something of the nature in the game, where a bunch of high level fishers can go maybe take a ride on a boat way out to sea and catch fish of the same nature, (HNM) fish. These fish for one would not be able to be caught solo, only in groups.

I see what looks to be shorelines in the new expansion Seekers of Adoulin coming next year. Maybe a new fishing post can be put at one of these shorelines to host this new event. I was personally thinking adept + fishers also, though this of course should be left open for new ideas that may surface. I'm not to sure how this would work, but maybe there could be a circle on the boat where the party huddles in and fishes from. The people in this circle would be considered one group. Each person can cast a single line, but whenever one person hooks a HNM fish then everyone in this party is considered one line against the fish. Everyone must now all work together to reel in this monstrous beast pulling the line back and forth as they would a normal, or legendary fish. The stamina of the fish would drain faster as everyone keeps in sync with each other, but slower or in the wrong direction as they are out of sync. Maybe you can also add temp items that aid it making the fish more docile and easier to reel in, (tranquilizers, nets, and the like). The duration for catching this HNM fish could be anywhere from 10-15 minutes depending on the type of HNM fish. Upon a successful catch it would be nice also if the fish could be gutted and unique items found within it that would be pooled. The person who hooked the fish would be the one whose inventory it goes too, this would of course mean fishing with people trustworthy xD. There could be other things that may be done with the fish, this is just my idea.

To me this would make fishing very entertaining and something we can share with the fishing buddies we make/have made along the way as we leveled fishing.

I guess the post seems to imply that the idea has already been accepted to an extent, rather I should be asking for what other people think about it, namely fishers, but it doesn't matter. Maybe if you see a way the idea can be improved upon, or a better way to go about getting it put in. Maybe you don't think its a good idea at all, either way. I do understand that the dev's probably have their hands full with all the other things that need fixing, such as rdm, and this may be too big a project, it never hurts to try though.
