    <dev team> voidwatch solution for chests

    Make it so that you can take the items from your personal chest and if you do not want them put them into cast lots for alliance... would solve issues like getting the same boots , headpiece 6 times when u don't want in the first place and others in the alliance would be dieing to have it...

    Unfortunately, SE has already addressed this and they said they have no plans on adding an option to add an item to the treasure pool, as they "don't believe that's where the core of the problem is."

    Too bad pretty much everyone else disagrees, myself included. :/

    I've done a fair bit of Voidwatch and gotten items I'd like to give to other people. I do understand the idea of the system on paper (honestly, it's not bad, just needs tweaking), but it isn't ideal in execution. Ah, nothing like getting logs, logs, and more logs, and the occasional item I already obtained (I'm looking at you Mantis Eye [inserts other items here]). I think more people'd like VW if this option existed.

    Except if you actually had that option, you wouldn't be seeing the same unwanted headpiece 6 times.. you'd be lucky to even see it once due to lowered droprates.

    I think an interesting option would be a guildshop approach, when you buy items for voidwatch credits, and where items only become available if players actually sold them to the shop as well as the player having the progress level to buy them. So if you want stuff from Pil, you actually need to have defeated him and others need to have sold their spare drops to the shop. Buy and sale prices fall and rise as people take or add more items to the stock. Only VW unique items would be found in the guildshop.

    They don't give a crap about that, they want person A to do VW as long as possible (lack of content) to get item A, B and C and that's why they designed it the horrible way they did.. and for no other reason. If you could put items in the pool or trade when under VW status people would get them too quick for their liking. Same reason they refused to change kings, it changed a fairly decent drop rate on HQ to almost nothing due to botters (which they secretly liked cause it artifically extended the life of the king system..like VW ).

    If they cared about selling of items they would do something about it in Abyssea and fell cleave sellers, they don't care.

    How I would handle this VW problem now is I would leave the current random system but allow all items to be obtained via Trials of the Magians where you have to kill a set number of Pils/Kaggens/Akvans etc to upgrade the base Ah buyable version (or a new base buyable body made for this purpose) of each armor to the glowing one, say 50 or so Pil to upgrade a harness etc...but gotta rub some barance on it, so you have to have full clears of all VW nms and all stratums upgraded to be able to do it this way. There, fixed the problems while making people do the content, get clears and making it last a long time.

    Still leaves the problem that people can luck out 1/1 cheapening the rewards but you need that too for some insentive for more casual players to do it I guess, if you wanna tackle that problem too then just make the ones done as above +1 of the R/E versions..which would make people that already have the R/E one go get the +1 too.

    If you can craft NQ and HQ1 armors, and HQ2 is dropped (albeit very rarely), there's no need for a trial to obtain the HQ2. You can simply stick with the HQ1, and sell that when a HQ2 drops.

    And 50 clears is nothing, if you see people complain about not having enough stones/cruor to do 20 VWNMs a day...

    the drop rate is too low to make it a viable source of gil, even if u afk in zone with a comment for weeks you'd still have to use a stone to be eligible for spoils. More so when i can take my war and rdm mule and make over about 3mil per hr cleaving mandies for afk ppl it seems less and less of a good idea.

    Simple solution is to add a points system to VW like einherjar has. A new type of points you can get from doing vw only. Add all of the drops for points as well. Make the better ones worth more points etc. That way it may time some time to get them, but at least eventually you will. Instead of going 0/150 and hope that it drops.

    Like say you get 100 points from T1, 300 from T2, 500 from T3, 700 from T4, 1000 from T5, and 1300 from T6. For point values say the Bodies from T3 jeuno are like 100,000 points or 75,000. HQ weapons like 200,000. Make items like Mantis eye from Kaggen 10,000 points.

    A system like that would make it so you don't get all the drops right away, but at same time you will get them after enough runs. If you happen to get lucky before then more power to you.
