The governments of the world hates the net (western countries in particular), I'm amazed it's existed the way it is for so long. The ignorance of people in power has let it go on so long I guess.

They already have something vaguely similar in the UK but this is far worse, people will rage when they actually realise what it's going to do to thier day to day surfing experiences. Unless they are so ignorant that they think the errors they get trying to access certain sites are just normal connection problems/problems with the sites.

Writing was on the wall about the internet when it started becoming so popular, what's the point with the gov controlling the news media when people can get around it so easily online, or when big business looses revenue from internet piracy (big business > you).
