Why everyone is BST nowdays?

pets have ~5k+ hp,
reward 1300 hp+
dipper and falconn have rly high eva( thief) and th2 or th3
normal hits 250-500 dmg^^

oh check one time dynamis~ thats the answer^^ .... solo bst, solo bst, solo bst,.....

For me? I was a BST before and haven't given it up.

For myself and others? New jug pets are like having a NM at your disposal, and now there's a good amount of weapons and armor that boost them. Put the right atma on in Abyssea and they make incredible tanks against anything that primarily uses physical damage. The only weakness they have really is magic damage, but in some cases you can rely on natural resistances to counter that. In other cases, yeah you'd have a problem, but such is life in FFXI. Also, as stated pet foods are very powerful now especially with gear that boosts Reward. Outside Abyssea (and inside too now that I think of it) pets just absolutely destroy lower level mobs.

Also, despite how they've been treated over the years, pet jobs can still be fun.
