I'm gonna laugh so hard at "I'm quitting FFXI for FFXIV" players when Tanaka gets put back in charge of FFXIV in a couple of years.

As for money made from FFXI being pumped into FFXIV, I think the point was that SE online has it's own budget/staff allocations and the majority of it is being wasted on FFXIV atm, damaging their other online titles in the process.

You think it will last a couple of years? You overestimate their chances.
