The OFFICIAL "I intend on Quitting, and here is why" Thread

Its no longer billing on the first its 30 days from when you payed to when they kick you.

My accounts were attempting to deduct Crysta on the 29th, I got an email saying they were being suspended on that day because there was no Crysta in the account. I have not tried to log into the game, but I assume I am locked out by now. I assume my browser cookie is keeping me logged into the forum, so if I close my browser tab I'll lose that cookie and no longer be able to log in here.

Oh ok cool. Its really looking like I won't be far behind. I have 2 friends to repay in game once I get them to 85 on both thier emp.s I'm done so one month left for me most likely.

Its not the game thats causing "undue stress and deceasing levels of joy", its the constant bullshit that SE spews out at us, then tells us "oh well make it more justified, we actually WANT people to complete this content", and then spew out more bullshit which maybe 5% of the playerbase will be able to complete.

Which is within a video game. SE has no authority outside that sphere. No modification to Final Fantasy 11 can impact the quality of your favorite TV show or some other video game.

As long as you don't click on your name, or log out of the forums, you'll be able to post even though your accounts are off. (I was able to post for a month and half while my accounts were off, and it auto logged me out when I accidentally clicked my name.)

So you don't need to be a rocket surgeon to know that the player base is shrinking, and frustrations with the dev team are rising. Admittedly, the idea for this thread was sparked by the recent news of the WAR and VSmite MNK nerf, but there are still plenty of reasons outside of that why the game is in the current state we find it. As we all know, the only way to really make any business listen to you is by hitting them where it hurts: The Wallet.

Let's try to keep the criticism constructive; everyone is entitled to their own opinions. My plan for this thread is to really keep it on the topic of why you intend to leave the game--not to much to discussion the issues in depth. There are plenty of issue specific threads for that. The inevitable Troll War is pretty much a guarantee, but let's see how many legitimate posts we get before all hell breaks loose.

So that being said--Why are you currently thinking about quitting? Real life? New MMO? Bored? Lack of content? Nerfs? Blatant disregard by the devs to the wants/needs of the player base?

I'll chime in later once I see if this thread gathers some steam...and I want to avoid the wall o' text as much as possible.

The reasons to why I would quit (in order of principles):

-Lack of friends logging online to FFxi.

-Lack of funds to pour into this mmo.

-Lack of time to manage between IRL and virtual life.

-PLayer base may strink but if there's no community left with interest to complete content...

-Lack or interest.

-Tired of lack of progression.

-Bored of the same content and lack of expansions.

-I may decide to just focus on FFxiv instead/ rinse and repeat.

No one may think the same as me but that's what my faithfulness holds to ffxi/xiv. It's a game and no other mmo stand par with it. SE need to just remember to do things differently and not mirror other companies and hold true to the community base. It's their game, their ideas as well so what ever works(fine) let it fly but what doesn't work(adjust) at-least the community has a voice and SE will listen(hopefully).

Feedback so SE can learn from their mistakes. Also just being vindictive and an excuse to shout "this is how you wronged me and I hope everyone knows it so that they will think as poorly of you as I do".

To get my last pay check I had to do a exit survey at my last job. It was to help the company know where they went wrong in keeping you around. It had one box for the reason and then more for ways for the company to improve and retain employees. Thats the line of thinking that if SE knows where the lost the player they can fix it you know other companies pay out the butt to get other compnies to do that.
