Surprisingly, on my server it was dead several hours ago, but there are around 40 people there right now. That said, it would be nice if at least the lowest tiers were easier to solo, or you could get loot despite an incomplete clear if it times out, so that you don't have to rely on being available at peak times on your server.
lol very true and sad, I kinda enjoyed it while it was popular last update. I just despise the no drops.

I don't doubt this at all, I'm actually surprised anyone is there. The only reason I'm even checking is for a friend who is trying to get a fake empyrean and can't be talked into getting the real one (probably because it is Fistule). When getting the full Empyrean weapon is easier then getting the "fake" then there is a massive problem.
Step one: Put Heavy Metal pouches in WoE
Step two: remove all the logs, ores, and crap drops that we have in Abyssea already (im looking at you Stone V!!)
Step three: Remove the once a day restriction
Step four: Make adjustments to stop the "BSTs or SMN or dead 90%of the time" (A full compliment of temps at the beginning would be a start)
See where we go from there
WoE is actually a huge success, you're just looking at it wrong.
Tanaka is using that old fashioned method of FFXI game design where you only introduce content that is dead because no one wants to do it/its useless/effort to reward ratio is very bad, and where 95% of new items are inferior to previously existing options. That way no one will ever feel bad that their gear is outdated, or that they're doing 7+ year old content instead of new stuff.

WoE is the only event in the game that I have had nothing to do with at all, I'm not even exactly sure why either but it just has given me no desire to try it at all or look into anything about it. Which is quite sad really, since it's one of the only main events atm.
Weird how so many people want to do this and yet it's always empty... Maybe a warp from jeuno might help after all. You could put the shouts out and it wouldn't take long for everyone to get there?!?
The days of the digital watch are numbered.
The problem is that people /search first and if no one is there they don't bother. /search of course only counts people in the zone, not the people who want to do it but don't bother to go because no one else is. Of course no one else is there because you miss out on /shouts there. What we need is a general channel--and have it ON BY DEFAULT, don't replicate the screw-up with citywide shouts!
