No you have provided tips on how to make it tolerable. The event itself is still really annoying to do. It's lacking and nobody I know of enjoys doing it.

Tolerable? the EXP and cruor you get is actually pretty high. About the only adjustment I would make is increase the minimum health of the martello/wards so they can eat more than 1 AoE with people not doing Ops.

I think they should adjust bastion for sure, and your suggestion are great, sure hope they will revisit abyssea content and do something about it. As for bastion, I suggest you do the vunkerl one. There are only two ways the mob can come, and you are better off going ahead and hit them before they come near to the martello. Certain jobs do better than others, if you can AOE, all the better to get the mobs at you. As usual, soloing is rather hard unless you are dancer or blue, and best DD is warrior, beast, monk, blm. Not very hard to get points if you are with the right jobs, but soloing in general blows on this events.
