Ok load your imaginations and get ready for a rather uneventful ride.
For the purpose of this post I am going to be using level 75 gear as examples. Scale/change them to level 99 gear in your head as much as you want. Im just using those items as an example.
New battle fields/old it doesn't matter really.
You enter. Defeat the bosses similar to einherjar/limbus/salvage it doesn't matter really.
Before you enter you set whether or not you want to accumulate points for the run.
People who accumulate points can save up and buy item's like byakkos haidate, Crimson Cuisses but cannot lot items from bosses in the runs.
People who do NOT accumulate points can lot items from bosses from the runs but cannot get items from the vendor outside the zone. Items that come from bosses have enhanced stats than the original gear for example Byakkos has 15 dex - the Mega boss items would have something like +20 Dex - this way those who get the better items are those who have not made any actual progress in respect to obtaining any gear whatsoever.
This would enable the dev team to have stupidly retarded drop rates and allow people to play in a hardcore mode for better gear, while allowing "mere mortals" the chance of great gear with time investment but no ability to gamble by putting all their eggs in one basket.
Consider it this way:
Point accumulation = Guaranteed NQ drops from NPC.
No Point Accumulation = Low % HQ drops from Bosses but no drops from NPC.
