    Profanity Filter

Not much of an issue, since most people just turn it off... but the game will filter any word it deems a profanity, regardless of spaces, context or preceding/succeeding letters.

    One instance of this is:

"There is a version update in June." coming out as "There is a version update ?? ???e."

Because "Injun" is considered offensive (For those who don't know, "Injun" was a word to describe Native Americans in like the 1800s).

    "How do I lock threads?"

Consume the contents of a bottle of Extra Strength Tylonel and then drink a beer. Soon, all threads will be locked.

I have someone in my LS who refuses to turn off their filter, and I get to learn new slurs all the time due to this.

For example, saying something like "NIN kill!" or "kk kill!" will get filtered. There are other examples, but none that I can think of at the moment.

The filter shouldn't ignore spaces and English words should only be filtered in the English client, I think. Might be a good idea to update the word list, too.
That filter is really a nuisance until you turn it off... Too bad because there's people playing with their children who'd like to have a better profanity filter, or one in their own language for that matter.

Apologies for the extremely delayed response to this.

The profanity filter is managed by the programmers with essentially no input from us, but we agree that the filter can be over-sensitive and illogical at times.

I can't make any promises, but we'll pass along your concerns and see if something can be done to address this.

    Thanks for the feedback!
