What is needed to redo if you win?
I want to help other people with my monk but I am not sure what I need to do now. he no longer accepts 5 high kindered crests. I assume i need to get a new seasoning stone?

Dominic in Tenshodo in Lower Jeuno will warp you to the Burning circle of your choice after you have finished LB quest and you can help anyone else by just going in.
I've had wins in a 6 person BST group using Gooey, no tail used and also 4 BSTs and 2BLM using the olde rarab tail.

all new mobs in the tree drop bone as well as all new mobs in gustav drop the fang gl to all in ur fight let us know how it is with this odl rarb tail item compared to the normal route
3 bst 3 smn apparently seems to work as well i havent tried yet myself with anything was too busy helping friend sna sl mates farm stones and bones etc.
Just spent pretty much 6 hours dealing with this. 4 hours worth of it on the fight itself. No win after trying with traditional tank set ups. Looks like zerging + PD for the win or pet groups for me, cause I sure don't have the patience to waste anymore time on PLD tank. Even with 2400 HP he skillchain + lights you in the blink of an eye for the win everytime lol. My last try though was a bit shotty, both melee dropped before we could hit PD to try to zerg it. Shrug. We wanted hard. We got it.
None of my groups ever got to the hundred fists stage, either, for the record. Basic PLD RDM WHM melee melee melee set up. Pretty much same story everytime. Easy until @50% or so, WS spam > kill people > people get angry. Methinks the challenge was upped from where it was at on the test server. But I've been too tired for several hours now so I'll deal with this again tomorrow when I'm rested. Best of luck to everyone still at it. Oh and sure, now mog tablets start popping. Bah whatever.

yeah i just tried it with a shout group went 0/2
First was PLD-DRK-MNK-WHM-WHM-SMN Fail.. PLD went down way too fast then it was like dominos.
Second was BST-SMN-SMN-DRK-WHM-MNK Fail again. This time we got it to 60% before it killed a smn.
Its weapon Skills seem to get stronger the more it uses them, i think a pet pt has better chance as long as they bounce around the hate, just know that WS will one shot the pet so u gotta have someone else to take the hate.
my group didn't have the extra items so i don't know how those affect the battle and its late for me so i am done for today.
I wouldn't put it past SE to make this easier for SAM...
I say go in with a pt of SAM and RDM/STUN same drill Stunga Meiko-rapega with Seigan 3rd eye up should down that taru fast.
From what I've heard, single hit ws's are fail on him, even fudo did less than 100 dmg, multi-hits is where its at.
I went 1/3 in this, first 2 attempts with 4mnk 2whm and fail both at around 50%, 3rd attempt we decided to try a PLD tank (ochain/almace) 3mnk + 2whm. PLD took next to no damage the whole fight and we won easily in around 7mins.
I'll post our winning setup for ya'll, and if you don't believe it, that's all on you.
PLD/WAR, PLD/WAR, PLD/WAR, WHM/RDM, WHM/RDM, SAM/DNC
We used the Rarab Tail when he used Hundred Fists. Finished the fight in 8 minutes, 34 seconds. All three PLD had full creed, one used Almace, one used Honorbound and the other used Accolade sword if I recall correctly.
Chant Du Cygne averaged about 300 damage. Vorpal Blade did between 100-300 depending. The SAM used Tachi: Kagero, but I found that Rana is better and consistently does 250-300.
We had some close calls, but for the most part, PLD took extremely small amounts of damage. WHMs were good on the cures and kept us all in relative high HP. As I said, they both had to convert.
The Taru never turned to the SAM, and with the way we three PLD were bouncing around hate, we hardly got skillchained at all. He would use a weaponskill on one PLD then turn and use on on another, so damage was reasonably spread out. A few close calls, as I said. Asuran fists can hurt if your shield abilities are down.
Reprisal and Palisade are invaluable for this fight, since you can shield block physical weaponskills. Sentinel as well for obvious reasons. One PLD Invincible'd so he could pop the Rarab Tail without the risk of dying.
Still a bit hyped up, so if I left anything out, feel free to ask.
(Note, only one PLD had an empyrean which was Almace. All three of us used Seigneur shields.)
