I can pretty much assume how it looks on their end though.

They set up this road map saying "Date X, this should be implemented", and then they are roughly done and set it up on test server and people complain. So they evaluate "Can I solve this in one day? Is it not working?" and unless the answer is yes, they'll ignore it for lack of time.

It is typical for businesses. You fix what you have time for, and everything else is left as it is as long as it doesn't create extreme unbalance.

Personally I'd rather they screwed the road map and just worked on requested features. I don't particularly care for getting a useless Cait Sith faster, instead of getting my new Fenrir ward functional.
