thf 95 Vs zoning into Chamber of Oricles

My main toon Tigeriss has timed out ever sense I was in the process of zoning into the chamber of oricles to do a ksnm with my white mage friend. The error I've recieved is FFXI-3001. I put a ton of hard labor into her and I don't want to loose her because of some flaw with the loading screen from a zone Please save her. I can't even log her in at all. I can however log into my mule (same account) with no issues. I did e-mail about this as well just wondering if I am the only 95 with this issue as well.

It's a common error, although I really don't know how or why it occurs. Happened to me a couple of times. It will work if you log in from a different machine and move the character out of the zone. Also, it seems to just go away with time. In a few hours you're normally able to log in again.

Also, if you log in from another machine and zone out, you can log in from your normal computer again. However, you still cannot zone in there until some time has passed. I really have no explanation as to why it's happening, but that's how it presents. If someone can read something into it, please do.

All affirmations are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

Okay I'll have to have a friend with the game installed log me in and move me or try too. Hope it works. If not I'll edit and let you know asap. Okay Arcon you are a miracle worker. Thank you very much because that worked big time. I guess scarlet King will live for a few more days because I don't feel too cocky now to try rezoning into there for today. Rofl

    Logandor,

We do apologize for the problems you are experiencing. An issue such as this is generally a failure in the communications between your system and our servers in Japan. Your system is waiting for a response from the game servers that it’s not receiving for whatever reason, leaving you at the loading screen while it waits. We can offer a few suggestions for this problem.

    Suggestions:
    1. Check to make sure you have properly configured or turned off any of the following: Routers, Proxy Servers, NAT Servers, Internet Connection Sharing services.
    2. If you are using any kind of software/hardware Internet Sharing service/device the following ports need INCOMING access to your PC: TCP 1024 - 65535, UDP 53, and 50000 - 65535. Also, check to make sure that the ports mentioned are not blocked by your ISP for INCOMING access. Proper configuration of any of the above items mentioned should be done by following the instructions in the software/hardware manual or calling the manufacturer's technical support.
    3. If you are using a router, and have configured that router for port forwarding, temporarily bypass that router and connect directly to the modem.

Please take note of the following:
    • Proxy servers, and satellite connections are not supported and do not work correctly with FINAL FANTASY XI.
    • Your router may require that you use a PC to configure your network settings. For more information about how to configure your network settings, please refer to the instruction manual that came with your router or contact the manufacturer directly.
    • If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) specifies a DNS server, you need to make sure to configure your settings to allow packets to pass through UDP Port 53 as well. For more information, please refer to the instruction manual for your router or the information provided by your ISP.

Thank you and next time it happens I will be sure to check that as well. I did not think with it just being on one toon that that could be an issue because my second toon on the account was able to log in just fine.
