Contest Overview:

• Requirements to enter:

• Must possess an official FINAL FANTASY XI Forum Account to submit entry (This requires entrants to have an active FINAL FANTASY XI account and Square Enix account)
• Entry is limited to residents of the UK, Germany, France and Italy only. Any entry from residents of other countries may appear on the official FINAL FANTASY XI Forum thread for the contest but will NOT be eligible to win any prize.
• Must agree to all the official rules and regulations.

*If entrant is a minor, the entrant’s parent or legal guardian must agree to the official rules and regulations.

• Entry method: Download the below screenshot and using an image editing program of your choice, add a humorous caption to the image, and reply to the contest thread with the image attached.

• Entry period: Friday, December 9, 2011 11:00 GMT to Friday, December 23, 2011 11:00 GMT

*Once the entry period is over, the thread will be locked making it not possible to post.

• Image attachment method:

1. At the bottom of the page, using the “Quick Reply” feature, click on the “Go Advanced” button.

2. On the following screen, click on the paperclip icon (“Attachments”) which will take you to the “Manage Attachments” screen.

3. On the “Manage Attachments” screen, click on the “Add Files” button located in the top right of the window.

4. Clicking on the “Select Files” button will allow you to locate an image on your computer to upload.

5. Once you’ve selected the file you wish to upload from your computer, click on the “Upload Files” button.

6. Once the file upload is complete, you’ll be taken back to the “Manage Attachments” window.

7. At the bottom of the “Manage Attachments” window, with the uploaded screenshot selected, click the “Insert Inline (1)” button. This will automatically insert the selected screenshot’s BB code into your post.

8. Click the “Done” button to close the “Manage Attachments” window and return to your post.

9. Insert a comment related to your entry into the text box and press “Submit Reply” to post.

* This is a region specific contest and users are only allowed to make entry posts in the forum that coincides with their registered user name.

*Limit one (1) comment (caption) per contestant.
*Normal forum rules apply to all posts within the contest thread.
* Square Enix reserves the right to judge whether or not material is appropriate for public display. Inappropriate submissions will be moderated. If entries fall under any of the below categories, it will result in a disqualification and the post will be deleted by a moderator:

-Any posts containing obscenity, vulgarity, discrimination, or any other offensive subject matter
-Infringements upon copyright/intellectual property, personal credit, privacy, etc.
-Counter to public order and/or morals
-Submissions with content judged to be grossly deviant from the established theme

Voting

• Voting method: Look at the posted entries and push the “Like!” button for the ones that you think are funny.

*It is possible to vote for multiple entries, so if you think there are more than one entry that is funny, you can vote for them all.
*It will only be possible to vote once for a single entry.

• Voting period: Until Wednesday, January 4, 2012 11:00 GMT.

*Once the voting period is over, the contest thread will become hidden in order to tally the votes. Once the votes are tallied, and winners announced, the contest thread will be made visible again.

Winner announcement

Winners will be announced on the official FINAL FANTASY XI Forum on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012. In order to distribute prizes, once the winners are announced, the Operations Team will make contact with the winners and ask for their mail address and/or shipping information.
