Currently the forums have "Report post" features, but not a "report topic" feature. The reason I suggest this is due to an issue I ran into when trying to report a topic. Reporting on the post of the individual on question meant I had to literally remove their blocked content in order to see it when I already knew it was off topic material. Instead I used the report feature on my own post with a comment as to why I was reporting. I certainly wasn't expecting what happened next....
Next I find that my post is deleted and on top of that within 5 minutes I am suspended for this post? I then get an email stating why I have been suspended with details of the post for which I was suspended for. This leads me to one question: Did the community mod even read the feed-back let alone the post to begin with?
My only conclusion is no, they did not read either. Instead they took it totally out of context and the fact it was reported, not the reason why it was reported. This leads me to the fun fact that the forums possibly need a "Report Topic" feature as well as the community moderators taking the time to read the reason for the report in the first place. I am exceedingly unhappy that a topic report I made, on my post, got me suspended for something I didn't do in the first place. I shouldn't have to view an ignored persons post just to report it as off-topic let alone risk getting myself suspended because of an alternative option of reporting.
