Actually using a Staff with Counterstance isn't a bad idea, I've done it myself to cleave on MNK/WAR.. Pop on a PDT set use defender and counterstance and you are more durable than most warriors trying to cleave. I can also attest that the four people that I did this for to complete Itzapoplotl items for didn't think it was dumb
