Huh? how are these two things in any way related?

You don't buy things from the tenshodo coffer and thus you can't get duped by an NPC that gives you a bad deal.

The goblin NPCs are basically trying to sucker people into paying a fortune for something they could get for free. The Tenshodo coffer isn't doing that.

Because goblins aren't nearly as stupid as us players.

Fine, then why can't we just kill them outright and take their 10k pieces without playing their silly game to begin with?

If any goblin NPC has ever deserved death, it's them.

They are the old school version of logs and ores.

Hmm.. have the goblins throw out their old moldy stock that noone wants, and have them put alexandrites, heavy plates and devious dice on the shelves

Yipes.. that would make dynamis hidiously popular... abyssea would be a wasteland... roving groups of PUPs would dominate Jeuno, 200 solo RDMs fight bitter feuds in Bastok over mob ownership while the mobs cower in fear for those lvl 99 melee RDMs.

So I'm trading Lootblox bronzepieces and get up to 10 M. Silverpieces. Okay. Wonder if they stack into anything... I don't know, it's late and I don't think about going to wiki or asking my friends. At the very least, there'll be a menu showing what you can buy with it, right?

"Here's your griffon hide," Lootblox says with pride as my week's hard work farming around my 50hr/week job plummets into the dusty hide of a fairy tale creature.

No confirmation "Do you want this really? Yes/No"? Why?

What if I had accidentally traded 99 M. Silverpieces to Lootblox instead of 100--lag or whatever? If I got 8 million gil turned into 7k in an instant without even asking me if it's what I wanted, what do you get for trading 99 million gil? Probably not something worth 99 million gil.

Please add a "Yes/No" dialog option to trading in currency, even if it means adding one for trading 100 singles into a 100, please. It's more of an inconvenience to lose a week's work than to push up and "Yes".

Also, the GM was very kind and said he'll try to get my currency back to me, so thank you to the GM. Support was quick and answered my questions without me having to ask them.

    Cliffnotes:
    * Don't let late-night curiosity win you over -- lose 8 million gil
    * GM service horrid*
    *Lootblox is evil*
    * Trading needs a dialog box
    Fixed it for ya

I can't tell if you are actually serious or sarcastic. I hope you mean that that shouldn't happen because of those lolrdm melees and pups who still wear pink would do so. And that if they did make it into easy mode it's not a good thing...

You're adding too much self flavor to it to justify your own spin. In game is still in game and a waste of time and money to just get a pointless crafting item drop is the same thing regardless of where it is coming from. The point is, the problem is broader then just some goblin. These items should not have been added to any of these rewards in the first place. One is just as important as the other. We need no more pointless crafting items and meds.

There's a massive difference between a completely random reward from a chest and getting an item of no value for trading dynamis currency to a npc - without any confirmation dialogue/menu.
