Forum names

I'm just curious am i the only one who used their real name for their forum name?
ive only seen like 1 name i reconize and some ppl using letters and numbers so odviously not their real name.

Out of curiosity, by "real name" you mean "character name"?

I think they wanted to link forum accounts to characters at some point in the future, if I read/understood that correctly. I also use my character name, Leviathan > Arcon, and I know a lot of others do too. If you're unsure, just search on FFXIAH for their name and see if you find them.

My understanding is they are going to allow us to display all characters from our game account on our forum account profile and also use them for things like sigs.

I hope they don't automate that actually, I've had crazy stalker people in other games from forums before so I've learned to *not* use the same name on both from that x.X

I used my original character's name, which is my real name cut in half.

i am using my original characters name before seraph merged with bismark and i had to change it to durzaofseraph.

@Durza Oddly enough i had to change everyone of my mule names when we went from seraph > bismarck but not my main.

I can't use my "real name" because the name filter thinks it's a swear word (even though it's not, and it's a name that SE itself invented), so I had to change one letter.

My real name is Alkalinejoe, but i changed the J to an H because a friend on FFXI likes to call me Alkalinehoe.
