I've no clue if this belongs here, but this is where I'm gonna post it.
So, these are few ideas I'd personally like to see added to the game. I've played quite a few jobs, most of the mages. But That being said, as I continue to play other jobs. I might add more thoughts and notions.
PUP
First up. I'm already excited with the changes PUP is getting, the AI preferences, the Buffing, and the ability to remove effects with oils. All good! But there is a thing or two I'd like to see. (Remember: My opinion. :3) An attachment or JA that allows the Automaton to cast an -ga spell. If an attachment, I would like to have like a set pattern for the attachment to activate. Or the truly preferred option: a 2min-5min ability that turns the next applicable spell into and AoE/-ga. The highest tier BLM spell being the -ga III for all elements and for WHM -ga IV. This is minor, and if it only applied to the WHM, I'd be happy honestly.
Next, as it stands and has stood, Puppetmaster is the ONLY job that doesn't get a weapon skill trial (Lvl. 71 Trials). I'd like to see a non-OMGIREALLYEXPENSIVEANDSUPERTIMECONSUMING WS added for PUP.
I'd also like to see a New Frame (Can't think of anything needed, maybe a BRD-type) or even a costume set-up to dress your Auto in a different job look. a DRK or DRG looking puppet would be fun to see running around. :3
RDM, (SCH, SMN)
I'd like to see a quest added for these jobs to allow the access to the other tier WS. Yes, WAR can Proc about everything, but it'd be nice for those that kind of get left out from that section to be able to help if the need arises. (I include SMN and SCH for the staff WS. I think BLM already gets all of them)
As well, I'd like to also see another quest added to teach RDM the spells: Enlight, Endark, Flash, and Holy. RDM was the front leader in the en-spells and as such should have gained the other two elements to begin with. More so, Enlight falls into divine magic (Flash and Holy do too). Which is why I'd love to see these added naturally to this job, which still has yet to get a single divine magic spell for it's Magic skill (Correct me, if I'm wrong on that.) And Endark is another spell for Dark magic would be great seeing how Bio is the only one RDM gets.
THF
OK, so my Thief is a little gimped on gear right now, but I'm working on it.
Out of all the merits, why was Steal left out? I use Steal more than I use Hide. And sadly, I use TA even less now since Abyssea.
I'd like to see a merit group added that can effect the recast time for Steal, and I'd also like to see the merit group's time changed from -10 to -12 so if I decide to fully merit Flee or Hide, (Maybe Steal :3) That it'd actually take a full minute off of the recast.
SMN
Now, SMN is my baby. I love SMN. I love SMN so much, I leveled it to 95 three times.
So, things I'd like to see. I'm sure this has already been mention somewhere, but I'll give it another go. I'd like to see a 'Stay' command for Avatars, If the Avatar's Favor is that important, then allow a SMN to park the Regen goodness right there in the middle of the fight without adding TP to mobs. This helps me if I need to use Soothing or Healing Ruby on people as well as keeps the paper thin DEF SMN safe from the evil AoEs.
I'd also like to see an En-Spell effect pact added for each avatar that we have now; Fenrir excluded because he'll have en-drain and en-aspir effect. That being said, I'd also like to see that they actually DMG and the add. effect is based on SMN Magic skill, capping at the same level a RDM's Enspell would.
As much as I'd hate for it to be used on me, I'd also like to see Garuda get a silencing Bloodpact.
I've stated as well in the SMN forum, I'd like to see some way to have Phoenix added, but most have mix feelings on that.
BLU
Now, BLU is powerful, not going to even stay it's not. And It's un-Godly in abyssea. Still I feel that a few of the spells for BLU have too long of a cast timer. I tried to buff during a fight, not gonna happen, diamondhide and Metallic Body are too long to cast... If I'm fighting a MNK type mob, I can't use Occultation if I'm trying to wait for Utsusemi timer to cool. I'd almost like to see an Aquaveil spell for BLU.
As well, as a Dragon Mob that will use Body Slam that's a more reasonable level to acquire this spell. A slight change to the Gnole mobs to get them to stand up for those trying to learn Asuran Claws.
(Also before anyone asks. My BLU's Magic skill was capped at 90 and it's 91 now...)
SCH
SCH is pretty beefy too. Still, I'd like to see Klimaform be a bit more effective, have a reduced recast, make it enhancing, and effected by Accession, not Manifestation. As well as a reduction to the levels in which SCH gets its Storms.
At lower levels the ability to jump from art to art as well as stack the spells need for Klimaform to work as it should are a little hard pressed for SCH. As you gain levels, Stratagems don't become too much of a problem. I'd also like to see Klimaform effect WS and JA that as well, giving a little more reason to cast these spells on other jobs before meriting the Stormsurge Job Trait. I found it so amazing that SCH got an AF spell which made me even more sad to see that it's so underwhelming... Of course the potency of Klimaform should be required to have SCH as the main job.
General Ideas
OK, I know everyone is having storage problems. I'd like to see a slip added for Job exclusive Weapons and Armor dropped from NMs like the Yinyang Rode and Evoker's Gages, as well as things gained from the avatar fights.
This has also been mentioned before, Throwing Weapon Skills! Let's give those Boomerangs and Chakrams some love!
