    [dev1000] Dynamis Reborn!

    I have noticed something of increasing annoyance, would it be possible to make all the monsters in dynamis zones either 1)the same level, the EP you see when you zone in or 2)Make a purpose to fight higher level monsters.

    1)This would increase the number of camps people use. At the moment it seems common place for groups of five or more 95 players taking an entire camp for the EP mobs.
    2)This would make it so large groups and well geared groups would target these monsters for better drops to compensate for the time lost in killing them verus the lower level monsters.

    What were the devs thinking when they made high level monsters (Ts to 90) in these zones? Did they really think people would camp them?

    On top of the level correction, how about in cities make it so most pulls do not link more than two monsters, I have encountered pulls that ended up linking upwards of five monsters.

    Lowering the links and making the levels the same would lower dream land congestion during certain hours, this morning in each of the dream lands they're were more than 30 people...

    The solution of "find a time no one is there" would only work if I was not the only one encountering these issues.

    VT monsters drop pop items for new NMs, which drop pops for Arch bosses. Or did people just forget those exist?

    The new bosses require more than the casual four or five that go in for currency farming, you'd have to go in with a set up thats not favorable for farming currency after the NM and more people than you'd typically bring in. People rather farm the zone for money than kill the NMs for gear that might be out done at 99. Though if at 99 the gear is not bested people will attempt to do the NMs again. But having all the monsters the same level will make it so the dream lands are adequately farmable if they're more than 8 people. Last night I noticed that Dynamis val had 67 people, I cannot wrap my head around more than 18 or 36 of those going after NMs. Unless the NMs require more than 18 to take down...

    Even then they stayed the full two hours so either they just farm pops the entire time and pop or they kill afew and farm... which again would make farming pointless for the rest of the zone if they're each going after an EP...

    I actually hope currency drop varies with moneter's level. like those higher level one drop more currency than the easy prey one.

    They don't. The higher level mobs are for the NMs.

    So what if the NMs are non-casual? The rest of Dynamis is. Leave something for the rest of us to do.

    Farming the lv 95 mobs is actually the best way to farm currency if you enter with 3-4 people party or more. They proc faster than the EP mobs, and drop more ( roughly twice faster, and drop 25% more). The only pb is ... they are level 95 so 15 level above the EPs, so you need a real DD and a real healer healer, so your average /dnc soloer isnt going there. Some o f them are nasty. We farmed 2 level 95 verthragna in 6 weeks, doing 500+ coins per run on those mobs.

    They should let those mobs alone. Im also farming the archbosses now and while the arch bosses setup isn't good for coin farming I still end up with 100- 150 coin without trying to proc.

    The em & tough mobs have a noticably higher proc rate and drop rate and it has been quantified. I personnally have only done those camps with a friend and we have been rakcing 500 ish coins per run, with never any competition. It's just not meant for soloers. Then you have to think that with the next level cap those will be decent challenge so more accessible to duos. I've farmed enough to buy 3000 metal plates at 150k per in 6 weeks running twice a day whenever I can with a friend and a few alts to proc.

    Maybe it was intended so that the supply of coins is limited on the server ? The bazaars are already filled with coins as is and coins lost 10% value over the last 2 weeks.

    Well geared groups should farm the tough camps or they are not well geared, but rather gimp, or stubborn.

    I like the idea that only good payers can farm some them.

    Nope. Fixing cities is good idea though, they should pack mobs with proc type but they won't do it, it would be too easy and invert the congestion.

    There are alternatives you just have to either improve your skills to beat even matches mobs or sacrifice coins amount for the ability to run whenever you want. With the level cap increase more and more people are going to go farm them anyway, which means more competition at all camps. Anyone tried breakga > diaga > sleppga 1/2 > horde lullaby 1/2 spam as a group ? Requires at least BLM, BRD and THF and probably a WHM. I can see it to be safe for the mages if the thf opens with an aoe WS. It's probably not doable for triboxers though lol.

    This is complete BS but thanks for posting.

    To contribute to the thread, there needs to be an incentive to kill the higher level mobs besides crappy item drops (for the most part). Upgrades for relic +2 require xp in dynamis, so perhaps this will provide enough incentive. However, aren't most of the mobs only DC now? Since you can't chain them, you might as well go back to AoE burning the EP mobs, which is going to make dynamis even more crowded (woot). BG has the info on the relic +2 requiring xp if anyone is questioning that.

    Why wouldn't you just spam sandspin on BLU...? That's what I used to do pre-nerf and it worked great. Doesn't work so well now.

    Pet PDT cape is 1m, but never there, Mujin Obi is 1.5m and sells 4-7 per day. They didn't forget and people want them.
