    [Question] Mythic Weapon Skills

    If I haven't completed any floors to Nyzul Isle on my own but, I have done Nyzul Isle with others a few times on the 100th floor, and have gotten the Weapon on the 100th floor.

    Would I only need 250 weapon skill points to unlock the move? Or since I didn't unlock any of the floors yet with me as the leader I have to do 16000 weapon skill points?

    Thank you for reading.

    You have to complete the floors in increments of 5 from 1-100. No credit for doing floors out of order ; ;
    sorry. you do get WS points knocked off as you climb though. so you could climb while doing the trial, and burn ws points both ways.

    Oh okay, thanks. One more question, so if I got the weapon already, and I worked up all the way to the 100th floor, would that be the same as getting the weapon after doing 100 floors? Like, in the end will all I need is those 250 points?

    yes. The number of weapon skill points required is lowered for each floor you climb.

    You only lock in the amount of weapon skills you need when you trade the mythic nq weapon to the blue mage npc in lower jueno who flags/starts your mythic ws quest. You may acquire any nq mythic weapon at any time and not be penalized for your floor progression, however once you trade said weapon to the ws npc in lower jueno whatever floor you are on at the time is which amount of ws you will need to do to unlock said ws.

It encourages you to explore the whole breadth of content rather than asking you to bumrush and bypass all the old content just so you can grind the newer content. This is a model used by other MMOs such as WoW, and while I don't have anything against people that enjoy this model, if I wanted to play an MMO with that model there are many, many games vast superior to XI in terms of mechanics and especially customer service that offer such a model.

    Not True. from wiki:

    Your current number of completed floors is used to determine how many points are needed. For example, if you received the weapon and started the quest with 90 floors completed, and then did a 91-95 run, you only need 580 points to unlock the Weapon Skill. If you already did 580 points with the weapon, you will get the weapon skill when the progress is saved to your Runic Disc.
    Also, I've done a weapon this way.
