Temporary Suspension of the Services Due to an Earthquake

Some people have no understanding how the world operates and if something were to out of the ordinary, they whine and complain. Today, I read a few posts from people who are so incredibly single minded that they disregard the respect for human life to fulfill their selfish needs of playing this game. It really saddens me to read of such things but I guess this is what makes us human, and when SE reads these forums those few bad apples will stand out even though a majority of the world sympathize the pain that mother nature can inflict. But I want to assure the people of Japan based on my experiences (and trust me I've been to many parts of the world) as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps that there good people in the world and they out weight the rotten ones by more than numbers can sum up, so please don't let these few ignorant individuals paint the wrong picture of how the majority of the world actually is.
To my friends, family and everyone affected by this: I pray and hope for your safety.
To my Marines stationed in Japan: You guys are probably working nonstop in the relief efforts since you normally respond to my emails promptly, so stay focused on the task at hand and know that you guys are doing a great thing. Semper Fi.

Yes the singled minded selfish need is only part of human nature yeah they can be blamed for the actions but what can u do. We are only human and its whats gonna make the world go around. but i get what ur saying. i have some friend in japan as well that i know from this game. and some that are in the military. and i wish them luck and know there working non stop

Im not going to say I don't care about what happened over in Japan, bc I do, and I'm sorry it happened, but America has had hurricanes hit the gulf, earthquakes left and right, the towers etc, and you don't see them suspending any activity over there for us. Its stupid of SE to even think that they would be able to just center FF11 in Japan and then cut them down bc of an event that affects them. They need to make more stations to help keeping their services going. Just bc your neighbor stubs his toe, doesn't mean he should come next door and make you stop doing something you spend your time on.

If SE has a time turner and 2001 miraculously became 2003-4 (which I believe is when XI came out originally in America) that would be a concern.

Also, No offense - 9/11 happened in a 3-5 state area on the East Coast. Not an entire country, like is what is happening in Japan right now. (and before ANYONE yells at me about this - I had a friend die in the Pentagon, it touched me even though I was living in the Midwest at the time - but it did not directly affect me, physically, in the Midwest of the US. This is what I am saying. Please do not flame me over this.)

Please do not continue to show your ignorance by comparing natural disasters (which cannot be stopped) to man-made ones (like 9-11). SE did something for people that suffered in Katrina, it has been said here by someone who actually was helped by it. We have not had an earthquake this powerful on the US Mainland in many, many, many years. (Excluding Alaska, we're talking New Madrid series of Earthquakes in 1811-12, and the 1906 in SF)

If people feel the need to troll, write your post then walk away for an hour. Don't push send. When you get back, read it, and think "Does this really sound like me? or is this just something to make the situation worse or better?"

In my opinion if you seek laughter from anywhere on the basis of human suffering, that is a sign of sociopathy. Not to mention I am a mother, a woman, and have friends/family in Japan right now. In an earlier post, one of whom was missing until today. To be told his life was less important than a video game was a blow to , and that statement was a monstocity. I guess me being berated for my opinion of someone is okay, because it's important to take a troll's feelings into consideration? He may want to get some laughs at the expense of people who are really saddened by all events that have taken place. We are here for comfort. To offer it and get it by our fellow man. Not to troll a forum and get some laughs out of upsetting people by saying hurtful things. I guess we should all be okay with the trolls on Googles person finder going to loved ones posts and changing them from missing to confirmed dead falsely, and posting to people's granparents they "effed" their grandaughter's skull. So I guess irl those trolls really do feel sympathy and dont mean it bc it's done on the internet.

Those reactors will never work again because of the salt in the seawater beaing poured into the reactor. Japan has 55 reactors and 3 of them will never work again because of that. A small price to pay but I do know that Fukushima Daiichi had planned for a reactor 7 and 8 to be built...

Reactor 1 was the smallest reactor (producing only 460 MW) to go and reacto 3 being mild (producing only 784 MW). Any new reactors being built would push 1380 MW each.

Exactly do not compare whats going on in japan with what happen with 9-11 etc , i lost a friend due to katrina sucks yeah. As far as 9-11 no didnt lose anyone but i saw the plan hit the pentagon jus didnt know what to say. and if im not mistake this is the largest Earthquake recorded in history so far...?

There are 3 now? I kinda turned off cnn it was so bad yesterday I have taken a small break from news today. Last I thought it was 2. I wonder how much worse that issue will get before it atleast levels out.

Yes there are 3 now, i think one jus went recently. i dont have paitence to listen to the news to be completely 100% honest im jus going from what my friend is tellin me .

Japan isn't as big of a country as the US. So it doesn't seem as large scale bc it doesn't take up a large portion of our country. I used those as a point of referance, not to bring up and cause arguement. If that earthquake hit Cali, and not Japan, do you think they would stop FF11 like they are now? or any other country for that matter. I sound selfless, but its just fact that you can't pause something bc its happening to you and not do it out of respect to others. I understand the not billing out of the fact they can't provide service, but many will expect, and including myself, a reasolution to stopping this from happening in the future if they don't plan on pausing the game for other countries plights.
