It doesn't matter if SE is racist, they only care about the Japanese, and they decided to take a moment of silence for the victims of the quake- It's still just a video game and some of you are weighing it against a real life tragedy. Even if you're right, you're still wrong. This game means nothing relative to the deaths of thousands of human beings. Even if SE just got sad and decided to kill the game forever, you all still need to grow up and gain some perspective.

The reality of it is that Japan needs to conserve power, so SE decided to shut down its FFXI servers to do just that. Does it suck for our selfish need to play FFXI? Sure. Should SE have servers in other locations? Maybe, we don't know the details of that situation. Regardless, it is what it is. The game needs to drain power in Japan to run, so the game has been suspended for a week or so. End of.

It doesn't matter how long it takes to get FF back up and running, what matters most importantly is that Japan gets back up and running. Luxury items such as FF can wait.

It gets worse, I just saw video on the news that their third unit has exploded but no radiation from it or something. And the new aerial videos of all the damage left over...where do you start to clean all that? Hate been powerless to help

Some people have no understanding how the world operates and if something were to out of the ordinary, they whine and complain. Today, I read a few posts from people who are so incredibly single minded that they disregard the respect for human life to fulfill their selfish needs of playing this game. It really saddens me to read of such things but I guess this is what makes us human, and when SE reads these forums those few bad apples will stand out even though a majority of the world sympathize the pain that mother nature can inflict. But I want to assure the people of Japan based on my experiences (and trust me I've been to many parts of the world) as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps that there good people in the world and they out weight the rotten ones by more than numbers can sum up, so please don't let these few ignorant individuals paint the wrong picture of how the majority of the world actually is.
To my friends, family and everyone affected by this: I pray and hope for your safety.
To my Marines stationed in Japan: You guys are probably working nonstop in the relief efforts since you normally respond to my emails promptly, so stay focused on the task at hand and know that you guys are doing a great thing. Semper Fi.

It was a hydrogen explosion similar to reactor 1, this was to be expected. The actual building is not the containment field and that itself remains intact and as long as it does so, there will be no disaster like Chernobyl.

Yes, i agree with Selzak does suck i mean i jus finished masamune i wanted to play with it more but meh it can wait the more important fact is japan gets back up n running 1. cause thats what they need for them, 2. cause there one of US's number 1 trade suppliers. Japan goes down US takes another dive and right now US cant afford that so there for The US is gonna do all they need to help Japan out. both of the governments will be workin together and frist step for japan was shuttin down anything thats a major power supply "Final fantasy" i truely dont think SE wanted to but they have no choice

Beckles I seriously wasn't berating for his opinion. I read all of your posts and never berated you or felt the need to. You never once said anything horrible about lives being less important than a game. And like I said this dudes a troll, and said what he said for the sake of getting attention. He is the type that has the i dont care type attitude in a public manner. People that really don't care arent going to waste their energy getting attention on a forum. I respect anyone's opinion. What I don't respect is someone acting like a monster to another human being for the sake of attention.

I"m cool with that. But, I don't view most people on here as "monsters"... that's a pretty emotionally charged statement. Yes i have heard n saw, its only gonna get worse before it gets better we can only hope n pray they they can salvage n rebuild japan .
