It doesn't matter if SE is racist, they only care about the Japanese, and they decided to take a moment of silence for the victims of the quake- It's still just a video game and some of you are weighing it against a real life tragedy. Even if you're right, you're still wrong. This game means nothing relative to the deaths of thousands of human beings. Even if SE just got sad and decided to kill the game forever, you all still need to grow up and gain some perspective.
The reality of it is that Japan needs to conserve power, so SE decided to shut down its FFXI servers to do just that. Does it suck for our selfish need to play FFXI? Sure. Should SE have servers in other locations? Maybe, we don't know the details of that situation. Regardless, it is what it is. The game needs to drain power in Japan to run, so the game has been suspended for a week or so. End of.
