Character Reactivation Service

It's none of those things. It's simply a deleted character, my main character, that I want back. Nothing more, nothing less. I've used the CRS before to recover a character from years back, the whole 3 month deletion thing was toffee in my opinion, when I have recovered a character in the past there has been characters I made back in 05 on that list and available for recovery.

My POL account is perfectly intact. The FFXI account has actually been active more than once since the character was deleted for various reasons.

I was able to do it in august, Only did it then because I noticed some small print that said if I didn't I'd lose my characters, so the 2 I wanted to keep I did it to they were on the midgardsormr server and now aparently on quetz... which was the original server I played on when i started 6 years ago.. and it sucked it was empty.

Course I think they did it wrong because my characters levels and races this forum shows isn't what they were, and I still can't login to find out forsure.


try going tot he management site, that is where I did mine at and one was deleted a LONG time ago and it let me do it.

Hey was just looking around on google for information on the character reactivation, did this never come back up? My boyfriend kind of rage-deleted his character recently and has been regretting it. He was pretty sure he could get it back quickly through the reactivation service but after reading this it seems like maybe not? Has it really been down since March? =/

you guys are not in the right place then, I just did it yesterday for my significant other, you go to services -> select service-> and the transfer option is there, this is how I did it, took about 5 minutes to get the account done and online, all characters intact after 2 years.

Now I MAY rage quit if these idiots at SE don;t release for the 360 its ridivulous and I would rather play on it (I am talking about the ultimate abysea collection)

that's not the service o.o
it sounds like you just transferred play online id to a square enix account.

Yeah, when I try the service > select service it looks like the only thing there under "Transfer" is what Taru said, transferring your POL to Square enix account. I already did that a long time ago for the security token/mog satchel I believe. Trying to restore a character that's been deleted through the Delete Character screen.

Okay, I think one of us is still confused. xD Could be me. If you are actually talking about Service > Select service > Transfer, that's just to put your POL account onto the Square management site. There's nothing about un-deleting any characters there, in that transfer option. Maybe it did let you reactivate a -content ID- there. Idk.

It can be kind of confusing, but I'm not talking about un-deleting a content ID. I know you can go on the SE site there and go to your Options list to reactivate/cancel old -Content IDs-. That still doesn't help me, as the person who deleted his ID for example has 3 character slots. Under the Options list they are listed as

The first one that says character is where his old character Salas used to be, the one that he played and had all his jobs and equipment on. Reactivating that character will do nothing, as all it does is allow the empty "character" slot to be used, and all we could do on it would be create a new character.

What I'm trying to use is SE's actual Character Reactivation Service to restore a fully deleted and wiped off the face of the earth character. Not just his content ID slot. http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/crs/

This should be where you go to do that.

But it says the server is down, and phone calls to SE have said the server is down for an unknown amount of time. So what I'm wondering is, if it actually has been down since March, is there really any reason to get my hopes up that his character can be restored any time soon.

I'm sorry if I am the one confused, and you actually did restore a -deleted- character through the account transfer. That would be really awesome, I just don't understand why it would do that, as it's not normally intended to work that way as far as I know. ^^;

No. If you see a character in that list, reactivating it will reactivate it. The term "Content ID" is basically defunct under the SE account system. Note how it has your character's name, not a Content ID number.

Actually, I think the SE account system, to which everyone iwll eventually have to change over, does obsolete the CRS. I can't say for sure for myself, because I've never deleted a character (and no character that i've cancelled has ever been deleted for inactivity- As far as I can tell they quietly stopped doing that at least a few years ago)
