    Scholar Regen Theory and possible application

    Post Update: Regen III will be SCH 59, and we pick up Regen V

    AS OF RIGHT NOW... this is underwhelming, BUT also in the list of tweaks is having Regen lower in duration and higher in Cure power under Light Arts... Isn't that a Curing Modus Veritas without a separate JA? If this isn't done well, then ........ yay a too long to cast Cure Spell. If it is done right, however, and taking in to account SCHs ability to Alacrity/Celerity spells, this might actually be a step in the right direction for a damage mitigation tool (not curing per se, but relieving the strain of Cure IV).

    As a side note, if this is the case and it works well it kind of makes me wish Dark Arts naturally made Helices do more damage and last a lower duration (Natural Modus Veritas).

    I don't care for the ideas of nixing Modus, I'd rather it just be fixed. That said, changing the Helix Magic Acc./Atk to include Regen potency/duration (Regen being the more or less Light Arts Equivalent to Helix) would be a better way to boost the already potent Regen boosts we are going for.

    As for Regen V, I would like to point out that Regen IV if I recall a previous post with stats correctly, was going to be 54hp/tic. I think we can expect Regen V to be something on the number of 60-70hp/tic.

    i believe it was reported as doing 69/tic with af3+2 hat and light arts on. the issue i see with the regen thing is that it lacks any real way to save a player on anything end game related. With the boost to duration and potency it will also be going to waste more likely then not, just to be trumped by a mob hitting a melee for 500+ a swing. Honestly taking a note from the whm book, would be nice if regen tics that exceed max hp could be converted to a stoneskin effect or something else(im taking the lazy route on ideas here).

    Anyone else more than a bit peeved that SE slapped Enhances "Regen" effect II on Cleric's Briault +2? Good thing Regen V is Scholar specific, though that in itself seems to makes Addendum: White even more of a massive joke.
    While I'm derailing topics with Relic+2 talk, Weather: Enhances "Celerity" and "Alacrity" effect II instead of Enhances "Sublimation" effect II? I'd say I'm disappointed but I'm fairly sure SE already knows.

    Anyway, on topic.
    I'm going to default to a previous idea I've posted. Change Modus Veritas so it has some duality like it should have.
    Dark Arts it does what it currently does; miss. Light Arts it doubles the effect of Regen but halves the duration, 140HP/tic is actually fairly useful. At least using it as a buff for party members means it can't resist.
