Why does the PLD not get access to this spell?
Why does the PLD not get access to this spell?
Because the level cap is 99.
and? paladin should get access to this spell at 99 lol.....
Shell I/II/III/IV etc. were 20/40/60/80.
Paladin never got Shell IV at 75 either. It was pretty much expected, and fits the pattern for Paladin.
Let's compare WHM vs PLD
Protect I - WHM07 / PLD10 (+3)
Shell I - WHM17 / PLD20 (+3)
Protecht II - WHM27 / PLD30 (+3)
Shell II - WHM37 / PLD40 (+3)
Protect III - WHM47 / PLD50 (+3)
Shell III - WHM57 / PLD60 (+3)
Protect IV - WHM63 / PLD70 (+7)
Shell IV - WHM68 / PLD80 (+12)
Protect V - WHM76 / PLD90 (+14)
Shell V - WHM76 / PLD??
So Shell V for PLD99 won't be so absurd since the offensive spell Holy II is WHM95 while Holy I is WHM50 / PLD55 (+5)
Going by that list, I expect Pld to learn Shell V at level 100.
Oh wait.
Shell IV should have been 71 (3 levels after WHM and RDM, on par with SCH).
It was wrong to deny PLD75 Shell IV, and it's wrong to deny PLD99 Shell V.
Why does this matter?
Tell your WHM (or RDM or SCH) to suck less, please.
I'm not too aggrieved over this (I'd be happier with some MDef Bonus traits myself), but it's so amusing to see other melee jobs (Warriors and Monks, in particular) griping at people who want Paladin to be a job that is best at what it is supposed to do despite a playerbase hell-bent on cutting corners and using anything other than Paladins.
The same folks jabbering months ago about how Paladins have Voidwatch now want to cut them out of that event, all in the name of "efficiency" (i.e. the need to put down certain jobs and players who don't care about the almighty parser).
As for Holy II, there'd better be a hell of a lot of hate tied to that spell for that much MP spent, and I mean enemy looking at me for the rest of the fight. Otherwise, keep it WHMs.
