Revamp G1

Something most ppl probably don't think about anymore. But G (possibly more lower ones) might wanna get revamped.

They are no longer suited the way they were when they were initiated. Gathering those three items is almost impossible for a new player. No one parties in those locations any more. (gar Cathedral, CN, eldieme nec.) So theirs no one their to help them. And at this stage of the game, its highly unlikely a person in need will find someone else thats on G1 as well.
And since the mobs arnt designed to be soloed at that level, a new player in need of G1 rly has no choice but to hope he has a shell that will help him, or spend forever shouting for help. And i don't no about other servers, but on mine ppl wont help other ppl at all unless theirs some mass benefit for them.

Iv ran a lot of G1's for new players in the last year or two because their was simply no other way for them to get it done. And i would imagine that keeping what few new players SE can get now, should be a prio. So you might wanna consider revamping those lower G1's to something a little more suitable to those few in need of it.

I soloed one of my G1 items (probably could have managed more if my friends hadn't stepped in)and the other two were most definitely not acquired via partying in those areas. As for needing a shell, well if you're going through FFXI all alone you're not going to last very long regardless.

It could probably use some tweaking, but I think you're overstating the severity of the problem.

By saying G1, half the people here have no clue what you're talking about and ignotred the thread.
Also...
It's been adjusted out the wazoo already and the mobs ARE solo'able at that level. He is overstating it.
That being said, it could be made easier still and this would help new plays actualy play the game.

Yes... im sure none of our lvl 51+ players have a clue what G1 is.... Not like any of us had to do the quest or anything...

I recently helped two people with limit break 1 (why is it so awkwardly titled in the thread btw?) and I do have to say the ancient papyrus is still a big pain. It took 30+ minutes of farming both times as a 95 blu/thf to get the drop in a very hostile environment to a level 50.
The exoray mold doesn't seem that bad even with monsters being moved since most of them are now clustered together in a less dangerous area, and the bomb coal is a joke if you can get behind the doors.

It's not like you actually need a party of players to get the quest done. All you need is one person who has played this game before at all...

I still question why there are level cap quests to begin with. Remove them, and just give an item reward instead for clearing the quests on your own time.

No, I'm saying only you and like 2 other people call it G1. You could have easily said limit break, which it is actualy called in english, but you decided to use an abreviation instead. Which limits any responces to it is what I am trying to tell you, but you decided to ignore it and be snide instead.

In the last 5 years, iv never met a single person that didn't no what 'G1' or 'G2' stood for. Forgive me for assuming intelligence.

That kinda part of the point. Everyone knows that next to no one will help other ppl unless theirs something in it for them. Iv seen ppl shout for G1 help with reward of 100k and still couldn't get any takers.

Also without help from a more experienced player, one would assume that someone in need of G1 wouldn't have past access to get to the mob in G. Cathedral. (considering time line of release, it shouldn't be taken into consideration anyway from a programing standpoint) Have you ever tried to shout for 3 ppl to help with Gate Breach? That ain't happening...

Ill admit i haven't tried to take them mobs on with a lvl 50 char anytime recently, so maybe they can solo the mob maybe not. (I no they couldn't do it before very well) But in some cases even getting to the mob is a challenge since the old places are empty now.

I hate seeing young players shouting endlessly for help on this. Unable to get help, and unable to continue because of something so trival. (and dev team.. its not good for buisness )
