    That about sums it up..yes. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. I've never seen a bst in any of the more "professional" groups I've done VW with. Saw pup once or twice, but never a bst. Maybe bst could get into a shout group for some of the lower tiers. Any of the harder ones though bst just isn't practical. As you suggested bst is viewed as "dead weight" for a variety of reasons.

    Well it is something to worry about if the content specifically is designed to make bst useless and the devs don't want to do anything about it.

    If at the very least you didn't lose your pet with confrontation status you might be able to do a little damage and if your proc comes up you can tell it to leave and call another. When doing multiple pops it wouldn't be very convenient but a heck of a lot better than it is now.
