    The Devs have already answered this. IT WILL NOT BE A GLOBAL LOOT POOL ANYMORE. (source: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...ull=1#post7763 ) Items will only drop to your party or alliance. It will be an open area, like Abyssea, NOT LIKE WALK OF ECHOES (WHICH, by the way, is also being revamped)

    Once more for good measure [SIZE=6]Dynamis is not being turned into walk of echoes.
