I'm a big-time, long-time crafter. The biggest annoyance with crafting (since it happens every time) is the very long delay between synths. This is just so, so stupid, annoying, and infuriating. I can fill up all eight slots with items and hit OK before the computer is ready to take another synth.
As I understand it, the delay was not originally part of the game. It was implemented to combat gil sellers. Well, don't you realize that this punishes legitimate players, too? I'm tired of feeling punished for the actions of a few. I'm not a gil seller. I just want to get my items crafted quickly so I can do other things in the game besides sitting here WAITING for ten seconds at a time. I can hit the OK button about 80-100 times while I'm waiting for "permission" to initiate a new synth and it's just infuriating because I know it's not doing anybody any good.
Apparently other anti-gil-selling measures have worked better than all these nerfs, so why not remove the nerfs so innocent people will no longer be punished?
I could say the same for fishing. I hate the way fishing works, but I would like it if it was like it used to be. I know that the "Fishing game" was put into place to combat gil sellers, but the gil sellers just got scripts and bots to fish for them. This means that the only thing that has resulted from nerfing fishing is: Innocent people are punished yet again for doing nothing wrong. Some people like the mini-game. Make it optional please. I hate it, it makes my heart want to beat out of my chest, and it makes my fingers tired...but I want to catch fish! I just never got to try fishing before the mini-game was forced upon us. Sounds like I would have loved fishing before I had to work against my stupid character who works his fishing pole in a way that I would never work it if I was fishing in real life. Talk about ripping the fish's lips off.
/siiiiiigh... I don't actually expect anybody to listen to or care about this issue. This is a world addicted to punishment and coercion, but I just wanted to have my say for what absolutely zero good it will do. -.- Sorry to sound so cynical, but I figured anything so obvious would have been fixed by now since SE started using better and more effective methods for combating real-money-trade after breaking so many other things.
