Better Widescreen Support Please?

I realise this is a very minor issue, and I am only really posting it on the heals of Dev comments about other visual tweaks.

But I personally am really bugged by the widescreen support in this game. Namely the name as it appears above your character, and linkshell looking like a squashed tomato.

Again, the title screen has been mentioned before with regards to it looking messy, again it really bothers me that at the opening of the game, when choosing your character, the proportions are all wrong.

Unless there's a way in game to fix this and I've missed it

You're just not noticing the incorrect aspect ratio on the font.

Maybe it's just on laptop, but I have noticed my widescreen makes everything look a bit squished also.

Which would be fine if it wasn't for the linkpearls which are noticeably oval :P. As I say, not a major issue, but still...

In-game, under config> misc 1 or 2 I think, there's an option for changing the aspect ratio.

There is widescreen support, but it does not affect things like the title screen, and the above-character names. It's nice to see SE improving the visuals of the menus so hopefully this can be adjusted too ^_^.

If I don't notice it, then what's the problem? I just don't see what the problem is supposed to be. My character names don't stretch with the aspect ratio, but they look fine either way. They are not squeezed in any way, and neither is my LS icon. Sorry if I'm being dense, I'd just like to see a screenshot of what this is about, otherwise I'll just shut up.

This is an old screenshot, so bare with me because its more noticeable now they've improved the fidelity of the writing but...


You see that LS symbol? That's supposed to be circular.

Change your aspect ratio setting in the ingame options.

edit: derp, already been covered. Still, my names don't look stretched to me. I could just be used to it, but I'm not seeing this.
