Maybe this is a dumb idea, but..

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but to me, this seems like something that should have been implemented into the game by now, involving chat filters.

Maybe some of you will think this will needlessly complicate the chat filters, so maybe you could have an option for Basic that would leave the chat filters the way they are, but maybe add an advanced option too?

Anyway, there are many times where I'm in a party DD, and I want to pay attention to just what one specific person is doing. Sometimes the tank, or sometimes another DD.

For instance, I want to see if the tank is missing a lot, getting low numbers if he is hitting, or various other things that would contribute to his hate generation, and whether or not I should go all out or hold back.

So if there was a way that I could filter off party member 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, but leave on 3 if he was the tank, I think that would be a lot more convenient than having to turn off everyone, or leave everyone on and get spammed.

I don't know, I just know that there have been several occasions where I wish I could have just watched one specific person's damage/hits/misses to try and better gauge how my TP matched up with his for possible skill chains. And honestly maybe I just wanted to see how my damage compared to another DD, to see if I was pulling my weight or not.

I too have trouble reading at the quick pace the ffxi chat log goes at sometimes, great idea.

Would be nice if you could separate the battle and chat logs. Not filter, just have them as two individual logs.
