When they allowed you to use flying mounts in basic areas of wow they had to remodel a lot of the maps, because before they were made just for ground transport and there were holes/blank areas in the landscape everywhere. Not gonna happen.

What I would like to see is more use made of the chocobos you can raise yourself, so the choco you have in your stable is the one that you get to use whenever you pay to use a choco anywhere (make the choco whistle unlimted use and the choco better than normal ones too).

That's so uncreative and boring.
We need new pets for different types of players.

Chocobos are nice but boring when that is all you get as a pet that transports you places.
Hell, They need to create different ridable pets that are JUST LIKE Chocobos just so players have more OPTIONS to actually enjoy riding different mounts or pets or w/e you want to call them.

If they gave me an Option to ride a Dragon or a Giant Wolf, I would choose them only because it doesn't look like a chocobo and it is not a chocobo. Why? Because it is something "Different" to look at while traveling.

They don't NEED to be extremely useful for getting to places, they just need to be there for "different options" of pets other players want to ride.

With more "OPTIONS" of different kinds of pets to ride, the more better it is overall cause lets face the truth, we all like having options.

I played this game since 2006 and I'm sick of chocobos.
Give us other options of riding different pets.
It doesn't HAVE to be for special transportations.. It can be the same as riding a chocobo but with different style.

I think you don't know the meaning of the word "creative" if your idea of creativity is to blatantly rip off another game.

In a day and age where nearly every MMO out there is trying to be a WoW clone, one of the few things FFXI has going for it is that it's NOT WoW. Why would you want to ruin that?

That is an "Excuse" for motivating SE to stay Uncreative for this matter of subject.
If SE creates different mounts, and different kinds of mounts for FFXI other than the Chocobo, then that DOESN'T MEAN they are ripping off from other games. NOPE... That only means they are embracing their creativity. They can create many different kinds of mounts for different styles of players and that is awesome if they do. But they don't.

If being creative is "Limitations" and less "Options" then I call "BS" on that one.
If being creative is "stay with what you got" and "Don't add anything new" then you are clearly a fanboy.

Here is an Analogy:

Microsoft created a PC, a computer made for more average people
And Now, Apple created MAC, a whole different style of computer.

They all got their own OS that makes them unique, now, did Microsoft and Apple Rip each other off?
They took ideas from each other that worked sure, but they made their own OS and it is the individual's preferences of which OS they like to use.

I prefer using MAC so I do.

You cannot say SE isn't going to be original if they added different mounts to ride on... They can come up with their own mounts, give players options and preference to ride on pets they want to ride instead of having NO CHOICE but to ride a big fat chicken...

Imagen living in a REAL world where EVERYONE drives 1 Model car.. The only thing that can change is the color of the same Modeled car... You tell me, would it be boring to live in that world due to "RL Limitations?" or live in today's RL world where we all have different preferences in cars and different styles of cars such as, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes, and Ford, etc.

Heh, I didn't even think of sky warp - but yeah, only reason not to have it now is sheer laziness, and that is a poor excuse.

And if you've done CoP, you have Tavnazian Ring, and you can also teleport and go via Al'Taieu.
