New player WTB FRIEND!

I just purchased the game and was wondering which server to start on and if anyone would be willing to show me the ropes. I've been reading the forums and some say that the community isn't friendly to newcomers. I've been wanting to play this game for a while now and finally decided to try. If someone with experience is willing to befriend me and show me around the game and how to play i'll hop on whichever server they're on. Ok thats pretty much it... let me know if anyones interested.

Quetz has multiple social LSs friendly to all though I think they date back to midgard but I could be wrong. At least one does. As for joining a serious LS, well, ya know, that's always difficult to find an established deal and not too many people take matters into their own hands and form their own LS. But perhaps social LSs are the way to go now anyway if content remains low man friendly. That's a big if, though. They are definitely the way to go if loot systems stay as they are. Who the hell wants to deal with serious business when you can take a casual, fun, social approach to things where drama over loot isn't an issue outside of low drop rates and beefs with the devs.

Not sure why so many people seem to think Asura is worse than the rest of the servers. EVERY damn server has their share of morons, gimps, trolls and bad apples in general.

New players need to have a lot of patience these days...especially if they join right when the new shinies are introduced.

Even the most helpful groups sometimes will tune out the low level content requests to focus on getting their new goodies for a while. Most often, it's a matter of bad timing for us. Someone hops in and needs help with something after everyone is already committed to something else. Try to be mindful of that when asking for help. Sometimes people simply have other things going on and can't help right then and there, but many are willing to help you later when they get free. We try to set aside time on the weekends. Specifically to do the older stuff for the lower level players, provided there isn't a higher demand for newer content creating a conflict.
