Roadmap for October 2011 "Relic"

You probably made 99 million of that off of one or two stupid rich linkshells. Honestly, look around. there are very few people with sky gear that has any sort of decent augment on it, because no one wants to throw money out the window. Only a few people have that much gil to waste, and they made you rich. Its really not very popular.

It's not popular because being the best you can be at any certain job isn't popular.

I can't imagine the relic adjustments surpassing +2 empyrean armor sets. Maybe singular pieces may be able to compete for usage... but really, who are they trying appease by adding +2 relic armor? Those that are unable to to get +2 empyrean sets? Most of them that can't be bothered to do that haven't even bothered to +1 relic armor. Then again, most people who did haven't bothered to +1 relic armor if they haven't already before the additional content debuted.

But I think, most of my interest is in how will these relic +2 armor look? Same as the relic armor has been or different color of empyrean armor?

I would really like it if they made some crazy magian trials that allowed you to fuse pieces together (ie. af +1 + relic +1 + empyrean +2 == RAWR!). That will never happen though.

But as recent history shows. Even if 99% of the population votes for something... SE is going to flip you the bird and say "You didn't want that, you wanted this thing you voted against!"

I swear the recent logic of SE is like sending a band of meth heads to your house to rape you and just say "Hey at least you got laid!" as their answer to why they did it....

IDK, I've completely lost faith in SE for designing gear after the recent VWNM release.

Now with Tanaka back in charge, he's gonna clamp down on anything more powerful then what was available at 75. If we're lucky the dev team will wait till he's out sick to do a release so he can't stop it or force them to tune it down .

Yeah, he left to go tour with the grateful dead, then he took some time soul searching. He just came back because he blew all his money on Pawtuckett Pat beer, trying to find the Golden Ticket. He also spent some time in cambodia working for the peace corps.

He of course did all this while somehow still keeping up the appearance of going to work at SE every day.
