~ The OF motto ~
If someone has more gil than me, they bought it.
If someone outclaims me, they're botting.
If someone is more successful than me, they cheat.
I don't disagree. It was a sarcastic remark.
If you don't want a particular kind of light, you have complete control over that. If you're just EXPing, and you're killing with the kind of high kill speed you describe, it shouldn't be much of an issue that you are getting ruby light.
You can also choose monsters that don't give ruby light to EXP on.

Best Abyssea parties I've had have had all lights capped, including Ruby, in fact Ruby chests are very good - more cruor and more exp per kill is never a bad thing. You're gonna get gold and azure chests too. If the party's just starting out or you've got a massive influx of new members you might hold out on the Ruby lights for TEs and have somebody going mad with Azure lights.
Though I know the frustration of getting somebody to not Ruby, but instead of whining or throwing a hissy fit (as some folks do), you compensate instead, have a good BLM or SCH to come nuke the shit out of everything, cap Azure and kill stuff quick for more chests.

Ruby lights are terrible for cruor farming parties. Last thing I want to find is a damn red box with a useless silver light.
It was a sarcastic remark towards the OP, who suggested that getting red boxes was terrible for cruor farming, when silver lights from red boxes increase the amount of cruor per kill.
It is terrible for cruor farming. A lot of good the extra cruor does you when you're getting red chests instead of blue. UNLESS WE ARE TALKING CRUOR CHAIN PARTIES. If your only goal is to farm gold or blue chests, ruby is your #1 enemy. For everything else you better farm ruby light.
