NPC fellowship limit break quest not registering on my NPC to lvl beyond 85

Steps:
1. @1:30pm I entered Ordelle's caves, activated a Grounds of valor page 7 and ran to map 2 at position H-10
2. @1:35pm I called out my NPC fellow with the signal pearl: Mahoyaya for combat
3. @1:40pm After fighting three Buds Bunny I talked to my NPC fellow several times to check how close it is to levelling and I did not see any usual message that indicates how close she is to the next level.
4. @1:41pm I checked a few more times just to make sure
5. @1:44pm I checked my completed Jeuno quest log to make sure that the quest: "A Quaternary trial in Tandem" was there. Upon confirmation I did find the quest at the bottom of my list under this category.
6. @1:46pm I dropped down the hole at position H-11 on map 2 and fought 3 Targe beetles down below.
7. @1:50 I talked to Mahoyaya ten times and still did not receive any message from her indicating how close she is to levelling.
