Blue Mage Guidance?

So I'm having a bit of a problem with Blu - but I'm not the one who had it leveled. My mate was a long time blue mage fan so when he started the game he and I worked towards getting him blue mage leveled up. We're kind of loners on Valefor so we don't really have a ton of good examples but now that he's hit 90 we've kind of hit a snag. He doesn't really know a whole lot about blue mage end-game mechanics - he knows the damage aspects of the job and all that but as far as things like blue mage soloing and various intricacies of the job and I'm not in any way familiar with how blue mage functions at high-levels.

All of the guides we've managed to find have been 75-ish so I was hoping I could come here to get some guidance for him from the Blue Mages here. If anybody has any valuable knowledge to how to be a kickass blu or even can link me to an exceptional guide I would really appreciate it!
