    Network issues

Currently posting from my iphone because i cannot log in from my home internet. I was afk in port jeuno amd dc\\'d while away i cannot log back in due to a pol-1160 network error. I can do everything on the internet but play ffxi. Im frustrated because all my linkshell mates can log in except myself. This happens frequently but this is he longest occurance. I live in the detroit michigan area so im assuming this is server related and not my connection. Please help me out.

sounds like the same problem I'm having.....

Getting all the lovely time out error messages, the one I got that I hadn't seen before however was ffxi-3113 protocol time out error. and I live in England.
So there is some sort of problem server side considering my net is running fine.
It's worse than when I had to upgrade my router just so ffxi would work again.
    What's the fix SE?

In North Carolina and using Centurylink DSL. I'm getting horrible lag/command delay and R0 along with POL-1160 errors and AH/Search failures. I'm not seeing any issues with other games, websites, streaming video, etc.

I've restarted my PC, DSL router, and my wireless router (which I'm actually connected to through Ethernet cable). It has no effect.

    Sukasaroth,

We apologize for any problems that yourself and others were experiencing connecting to FINAL FANTASY XI. However, at the time indicated, we were not experiencing any server issues on our end; had we been, we would have made the appropriate announcement to the PlayOnline website and here on the official forums. It is possible that a portion of the connection between your regions and our servers in Japan was experiencing some sort of connectivity issue outside of our control.

If you are still experiencing these issues, please, feel free to let us know.
