I think it would be a good idea for them to put something like this in. I mean, if you think about it, a lot of people didn't really know what job they wanted to be when the first started... or maybe it's just me haha...

someone could have picked a taru because they were cute(and let's face it, they're supercute), but now they have no interest in being any job that uses magic\MP. sure they could get gear to compensate for the lower str, but elvaan and galka are almost always going to out do them

starting over from scratch is a silly solution to the matter. think about all the missions\quests you would have to do over again. granted, they aren't so bad now that the level cap is gone but still... most people don't even bother with lower level stuff anyway. even shtuff like dynamis isn't done as much as it used to be. it would also be brutal to have to start all over again with lb\merits and what not. I mean, some people have like over 9000 merits and it wouldn't be fair to have to do it all again.

if they charge for the race change service, I'd totally pay. just sayin'

In the end - it doesn't matter what race you are. There is enough equipment to compensate.
Also it's a matter of playstyle and not of the build of the month - cause that's what would happen - thousands of Tarutarus that are mages, thousands of elvan that are melees and no different flavour cause race X or Y doesn't perform best at Job A or B cause a guide on wiki or a printed medium said so. (#1 why I'm strict against it)

You didn't do the missions/quest with this "new" char. So beside a race/genderchange a complete wipe of your achievements have to be done. Simple cause nobody in the game met you before - none of the NPC and none of the PC - you'r a different person. Player X is a Tarutaru and not a Galka.

100 US$ and it would be a fair price? (So nobody would change cause of the flavour of the month)
