Why does SE add new mobs where they do not belong?

I really thought SE would stop doing it after the complaints I seen here the first time they did it. Why are there high level 90+ in places like dangruf wadi? I mean are they taking tips from ffxiv fail where they will add level 110 mobs in West Sarutabaruta? Do you really think adding random decent challenge mobs outside abyssea will influence people do stuff outside abysssea? It makes no sense to me. Why? I really want to know why SE keeps adding mobs where they do not belong. Why should I walk out of a city with my new level 1 character and see a level 1 monster and next to it a level 100 monster?

Putting 90+ mobs in areas where you do level 60 and maybe smaller levels is not really smart.

It would make a lot more sense if you coudl attack mobs while fighting voidwatch, since you can't it makes almost none.

Because zones such as Dangruf Wadi (and many others) go completely unused, so the devs dual-purpose the zone for higher-lvl XP/GoV alternatives in addition to low-lvl stuff, and adjusting any quests in the process so they don't wander into the high-lvl territory.

    It's still poor game design.

Zones should have level appropriate mobs.

This is an MMO, not some offline game. It's a waste of server resources having zones sit around doing nothing, and their placement of the higher-level mobs are appropriate within the zones (from what I've seen) and are never in the easy-to-access portions of the map, but rather out of the way.

I'm taking it you're the kind to complain about an HNM being in a noob zone, or how events such as VNM/VW use said lower-lvl zones also. Not everything has to have a dedicated map for it.

I think it wouldn't be as bad if they were non-agressive monsters that were added but they're not, and a lot of the places that do have the new monsters are right where the ??? points are for artifact quests. Plus there are some things that don't make sense. Why add higher level monsters in Boyahda instead of just having pages for the monsters that were already there? And the same goes for the dungeons in Sky. I can see how they are adding new purpose to unused zones but some of the things they've done to do it seem illogical to me.

They at least added a new book by the fork in the path beyond the door mechanism in Ranguemont pass thus eliminating that headache for newer players who are off to do an LB2 or SMN unlock quest. Which leads me to hope that they are open to making things more manageable. i remember that they moved the mobs or the ??? point after the 1st wave of GoV implementation in regards to a WHM AF quest in Fei'Yin but i might not be remembering that correctly.

Its easier for them to just dump some mobs in existing zones rather than create whole new zones and expansions for us to xp in. But then again as already said, alot of the zones they put these high lvl mobs in were already unused.

It isnt like walking out into saruta and seeing a lvl 100 mob next to a lvl 1. And as also said, they have adjusted placement of some things already, from ??? for quests to actual existing NMs for magian trials. If there are still points that need to be adjusted you feel, make a report or something of it and if they feel it needs to be adjusted and it was an oversight, it will be adjusted.

They are doing this because they are too lazy and/or cheap to make another full scale expansion. New zones, cities, story, missions, quests, ect. I think it would be a smart move to make a new expansion and leave the PS2 out of it while still allowing them to play existing content.

All we have for end game now is Voidwatch and this needs to be fixed.

GoV is pointless for exp when abyssea exp is 1000 times better so ruining old zones by placing high level monsters is a very bad idea and they keep implementing it. Keep the zones as is but adds books and the nice 5 min respawns.

Well someone has obviously not done higher-lvl GoV then, especially with the auto-page addition.

I'm expecting GoV to take over Abyssea XP eventually once people get it through their head that it's hassle-free to keep the XP flow going with zero downtime.
